because I won't be near internet on Friday.
No resemblance of course
Jesus Christ the Apple Tree • Cambridge Singers with John Rutter
Cantate Domino • Voices of Ascension
Poetry Man • Phoebe Snow
Glass: String Quartet No. 3 • Kronos
The Raven in the Oak Tree • Jon Mark
Spiral • Richard Stoltzman
Seek in Your Heart (the Essential Rumi) • Esther Dobong' na Essience, Graeme Revell, Lori Carson, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Roger Mason
Rebel Yell • Billy Idol
The Valley Road • Bruce Hornsby
Awfully classical set with the exception of Billy Idol. The Phoebe Snow version of Poetry man was one of my faves in college. And the Glass is typical Glass, minimalist circling around tune. The Jesus Christ the Apple Tree is composed by a woman whose name escapes me at the moment. Our choir does it and I get to lead off the first verse :)
