The Vermont Senate is expected to concur in the House amendments to S.115 late this afternoon, and will promptly deliver the bill to the Governor. The Governor is expected to veto the bill and return it to the Senate for an override vote, likely Tuesday morning around 9:00 a.m. The bill must go to the Senate first because the Senate introduced the bill. After the Senate completes its work – and it is expected to vote to override the Governor’s anticipated veto – the bill will be messaged to the Vermont House of Representatives. The House will likely vote on the override question some time after 10:00 a.m., and most likely before lunch.
[19.49] Governor Douglas Vetoed S.115. The Vermont Senate concurred with the House on S.115 and sent the bill to the Governor, who promptly vetoed it late this afternoon. The bill will return to the Senate for an override vote at 9 a.m. tomorrow, followed by the same action in the House. The House will likely vote on the override question some time after 10:00 a.m., and most likely before lunch.
He is such an id. I tell you, help us in Vermont defeat this guy in November 2010. He is an embarrassment to this state.
And pray that there are enough votes in the House to override his veto. We need 100.
