Mr Issa is the richest man in the House, having made a fortune by making and selling car alarms, including the Viper, which features his own commanding voice declaring, “Please step away from the car.” And he is now clearly intent on making a name for himself sounding alarms of a different sort about the Obama administration. And so this Republican is of course going to waste taxpayers' money going after the small stuff in his attempt to bring down Obama as the most corrupt president there has ever been.
I am not sure I can weather the next two years... between the damage the Republican majority in the House is going to inflict to our already non-functioning government and the Anglican Communion business.

- I am a life-long Episcopalian, who has been ordained since 1993. I was rector of a family-size congregation from 1994-2008 and and ended three years as priest in partnership at a pastoral-size congregation in Vermont's fourth-largest city (Rutland) in 2011. Now I am vicar of a tiny congregation in the Green Mountains of Vermont. I am involved in church governance at the diocesan, church-wide and international Anglican levels. I was a member of a CREDO faculty team working with the clergy and lay leaders of l'Eglise Episcopale d'Haiti. I also try to go to El Salvador a few times a year and am officially Canon Missioner of the Anglican Episcopal Church of El Salvador (since 2004). In 2007, I finished the 1570 km Chemin de Saint Jacques/Camino de Santiago de Compostela. I greatly enjoy hiking in the Vermont Greens and NH Whites and reflect on those hikes. In 2010 I also completed walking the 273 mile-long Long Trail in the Green Mountains of Vermont... maybe next the Appalachian Trail? Lastly but most important, I am a cat-fanatic. (N.B. He is a loathsome man and I struggle to consider that Issa has been used as a name for Jesus in Arabic, as I understand it.

In any event, it is worth noting, very much worth noting, that the alarmist that is this Issa is the one who was behind what brought down California Governor Gray Davis at tremendous taxpayer cost and to the benefit of Ah-nold. That is all I am saying about that.
Caminante --I know you are made of stern stuff. The next two years will not be easy --but it will make living the Gospel crystal clear!
Yes, I am stubborn but the news is so, so depressing and they are not even in the majority yet. This is all thanks to the Supreme Court. Ay.
