The bloated pre-electoral season that started over a year ago which means that even in a state the candidates could care less about I have been getting solicitation phone calls from every candidate even if I never gave a cent to them, and mostly from the DNC. Just got another one.
Our system costs way too much and goes on for far too long. Would that it be short and sweet, two months, as it is in El Salvador. Theirs still is a costly process but at least it's not for 24 months.
Lord have mercy on the people of Iowa and New Hampshire, though they sort of ask for it by insisting on having the first caucus and vote (so my pity is somewhat limited).
Meanwhile, I wish there were a way to stop these calls. Grump.
