Four years ago a parishioner gave me this orchid. For four years, it never did anything. And then, suddenly, last week, I noticed it had sent up a shoot with little curlyque things on it. Fearing that Young Guy would chomp them off, I surrounded the branch with a chicken-wire cage.
Today the orchid bloomed! It has these green flowers with tiger-lily type spots and little spikey things.
I have no idea what sort of an orchid it is but am laughing that it finally did something and just in time for Holy Week. Nature knows, no?
