After the big Eucharist on Sunday, as we streamed out of the conference center, we ran into the Archbishop of Brazil, Mauricio Andrade, a neat man. He is super friendly, effusive and, most of all, fully supportive of LGBT people participating in all aspects and levels of the church. He is an incredible ally for us. Don't think we are alone. After the visiting international speakers addressed the House on Friday or Saturday, we realised that we are not the dog poo the way a loud group of people want us to think. There are others who truly value who we are and what we do. There is accompaniment.

Hi! I was a volunteer on the HoD floor and heard you speak. It was very exciting. I've also been a visiting educator to the Province of Brazil and have been treated with great kindness by Dom Mauricio. I was also very heartened to see him participating in prayer vigil and march for Disney and other entertainment workers.
Great photo!
