Sad question

Given that the church in Chile is part of the Province of the Southern Cone, which claims not to be in communion with The Episcopal Church, will the Chilean church accept relief donations from Episcopal Relief and Development or only from the Anglican Church of North America's relief organisation, Anglican Relief and Development? One would hope that people's needs would override church politics.

Don´t you think it is best to send money where it is wanted and severely NEEDED and WELCOME and SAFE (to be used for inteded purpose)? To me, it would be very risky to send money to a Anglican Province, which, for any reason, is poaching on Episcopal Church Property or trying to steal a Diocese outright and refusing to ¨be¨ in Communion with us...I don´t TRUST P.B. Venables as he has proven himself to lack honor in Canada and the U.S.A. As you know, in Latin America, money often can go missing with amongst more reliable (thought) men.

It is a sad question. I send money to ERD and let them sort out the political issues. I've been to Chile and love the country, but my heart (and money) goes out more to Haiti.

ERD will figure it out.
