Friday cat blogging 2

OK, a bunch of photos to make up for last week.

Right now my Kennedy rocker in the study seems to be a preferred spot. First, it's Orange Guy.

Then it's La Doyenne.

Meanwhile, yesterday I opened all the windows for the first time this season and Young Guy immediately claimed the one on the west side of the house.

Miss Funky Paws shows no desire really to leave her suite; she's happy with her little stuffed rabbit to rest her head on.

Occasionally she will wander out of the back half of the house and do a little exploring. Obviously, Orange Guy is looking a bit nervous by this intrusion but there were no hisses...

... yet. And it wasn't from him but from her because she got too close. With that she ran back to safety.

I do have a problem. The older she gets, the more La Doyenne is turning into a gerbil chomping and shredding every piece of paper in the house. The newspapers on the floor are sacrificial ones so she won't get into something that matters. I had to put the books in a container after she not only chomped the dust jacket but also the spine of a book.
She does this chewing not just when she's hungry, though that seems to be all the time.

Our tortoise shell loved to chew paper, too. She went from single pieces to magazines to soft backs to paper backs. Ripped to shreds my husband's music books and some of my hard backs. Sit a book down for less than a minute and she had it and it was chewed. We lost her 3 months ago and I miss the paper chewing........

Maybe she needs more fiber in her diet.

What a tender soul Miss Funky Paws seems to be. She's lucky to have you on her staff.
