The Senate just voted through S115. Attempts to take it to a state-wide referendum were defeated 19-11. That is not good AFAIMC. It's too close a vote to be comfortable. The bill will go to the House Judiciary Committee on Monday and the House may vote on it by the end of next week. If the bill passes both, it will go into effect 1 September 2009 and no more civil unions will be granted. Those already legally joined in a civil union will have the option of getting married.
