What we have covered in the past two days information-wise is dizzying. How can a commission in three days cover the Middle East, Central America, the Philippines, Northern Uganda, Sudan, water access issues, climate change, all under the rubric of international justice with peace concerns? Yet that is what this commission has tackled. We still have meeting time tomorrow to wrap things up for now, but we have done the bulk of our work.
I am simply a liaison to this group; I don't vote but I have voice. I am still getting to know the members but at least I have a little better idea of what my role is.
Meanwhile, the pollen down here is so thick on the roofs of the cars that one can draw on them. That also means a very itchy nose, runny eyes and a tired head.
There are no screens on the windows here so I also will be doing battle with mosquitoes tonight. I don't know if they bite but I will sure find out.
