Down state

Meanwhile, down state, where there was more snow, here are some photos...

First of a mitrered driveway marker. Down state at 1800 feet, they got well over a foot of snow.

So here's the house in the snow... pretty even though the upshot of all that snow is that the electricity went off for twelve hours. Fortunately, we heat with wood and have a propane gas stove. The well pump goes off, but we store water for emergencies like power outages.

Finally, here's what the driveway looks like today (just like the rectory driveway), a goopy mess of mud and slush. The shot is from the house, looking at the garage and the little garden shed.

My snow plow guy didn't even plow, he pulled the mash out into the street and then pushed it into piles. I still have to dig out the roof dump by the shed/garage but will do that later.

THIS is springtime in Vermont. It's so charming out.
