So here I am, Caminante, hanging out in the sacristy before the 8.00 HE on Easter morning. I am in a borrowed cope since I managed to tear the ancient, ratty yet beloved cope the night before. (I was rounding a pew to give the peace to the organist and caught the cope on the pew and before I could stop my forward movement, hear a huge riiiiiiiiiiiip.) I have on under the cope the gorgeous mountain chasuble that Compa made for my ordination to the priesthood (having made the stole for my ordination to the diaconate. Then when I arrived in town, she made matching pulpit fall, stole for the eagle lectern and veil and burse).

If you look carefully, you can see the refection of the stained glass window behind the high altar in the glass door. I took this photo at 7.30 Easter morning.

This is the view from the high altar looking at the Paschal candle. To its right, our 'soft space' for children. Again, taken before the 8.00 HE.

Mary always has a candle burning by her and for Easter, I bought a hyacinth to keep her company. I light that candle before the 8.00 HE and let it burn for the day (it's a ten-hour candle).

Easter Night was snowing. When I got to our house at 1800 feet, it was snowing quite hard and by the next morning we had four inches of new snow.

Easter Monday dawned bright but very snowy. My poor snowdrops are buried. It's hard to see but in the background there is a mountain ridge that catches the light in a grey sky spectacularly.

Here's my laptop being tested by Tech Tools. I have an e-drive on my external hard drive; we booted up the computer from that and it took about an hour for the application to run through testing the internal hard drive. You don't always get to have Easter tulips to keep you company while you go through all that rigamarole.

The meeting for tomorrow up in Burlington has been postponed because of the forecast for 2-5 (or 5-8 or 8-12) inches of snow. Hooray. I am glad not to have to drive in that glop. I can stay at home and (un)happily work on income taxes. 2005 is done :) And they're talking about a nor'easter for Sunday, too!
Sorry, that is all this feeble brain can muster.
