Friday cat blogging

Miss Agatha got short shrift this week because of our friend's surgery; I wasn't spending much time in the back and I didn't let her out of the room to explore because things have been dicey enough with the front crowd. So, here we go.

This was a slightly less in-your-face shot than the one I put up last week.

Our orange friend is sure-footed enough again to get up on the railing as he waits for me to go downstairs to prepare dinner.

La Doyenne squishes herself into the basket after dinner. She may or may not enjoy the white lilacs. I do.

We go through this every night: things go by the downstairs window, get Young Guy all riled up but he can't do anything about the outside critters so he beats up on whoever is near.

This morning the two adversaries managed to stay at least in the same room. YG still hisses at OG who then runs away but at least I don't think YG is going to tear up OG.

Last night La Doyenne and the patient spent the night downstairs. I left her in the rocker.

And I left him on the back of the couch. By morning he had managed to unravel the corban stuff. Now that he is feeling better, he is also getting impossible to pill. He has bitten me, and manages to yank his head around so fast that the pill goes flying. I finally had to wrap him up in a towel (a first) in order to pop the pill in his mouth and clamp his jaws shut. At least I am not having to squirt 3mm of pain killer med into his mouth.

I do love Miss Agatha of the Funny Face.

Orange Guy looks good! It's a great sign that he has been walking about on the bannister.

I have to wrap Miss Maya Pavlova in a towel every time I clip her toenails. Heaven knows what it will be like when the time comes I have to pill her. She doesn't even like it when I put on the dose of Frontline against fleas, and that's just between the shoulder blades and non-invasive.

Back to work...

They are such gorgeous kitties! Agatha's eyes - love!!

Glad that OG is doing better but so sorry about the fighting back over the meds.

When BooBoo was sick in April I could not get a pill in him at all. My husband said "oh let me do it" and several huge scratches and a bite later, still no pill.

We switched to liquid and that was easier for us.

Nonetheless - sending you all ongoing prayers and love.

Our Stanley -- even when wrapped as a "burrito" in a towel, will whip his head back and forth so as to make it impossible to get a pill in him. You have my sympathies on that front!

Glad he's feeling better though, and that the other kitties are more accepting now, too.

Oh, my dear. I neglect your blog a few days and discover all this! :( I am so very sorry you and O.G. and all the household are going thru this. You know I do understand.

I'm concerned to hear the lab results. Weren't they expected yesterday?

My prayers are ascending. And as we know, linear timing doesn't matter in God's time.

Thanks for the prayers, one and all, and Lisa, don't worry if you didn't catch this saga at the beginning.

No report back on my orange furry but Miss Agatha's tests came back and she is a very healthy older cat.

I'm glad to hear about Miss Agatha's report, and will be eager to hear about Orange Guy's.
